About Me
I’ve always liked helping people out and thought nursing was a good fit. Shortly after starting school, I realized it was not for me. After weighing a few options, I decided to start my own business selling products on Amazon. As I started selling more and more, I started thinking about the moving parts behind the scene at Amazon. Are software developers responsible for making things works? Are they the ones making the user experience enjoyable? Are they the ones making Amazon flow they way it does.
At the same time, a friend recommended looking into devCodeCamp’s Jr. developer program in Milwaukee. After checking out their website my interest was peaked. I scheduled a tour and knew instantly that coding was a skill I needed for the future. I signed up for the 12-week full-stack coding bootcamp, learned a solid coding foundation, and found that I really enjoy the coding process. Specifically thinking through a project, writing code, testing code, and seeing my project through to its final stage.
