Years ago I worked in software development, then switched fields to pursue becoming a pastor. The two skillsets, though very different, worked well together. The techy side of things brought problem-solving, visionary, and the importance of setting goals to the table. This mixed well with leadership, communication, and teamwork learned through engaging with people in the church and throughout the community.
